Behind the Robot

An Introduction

Hey Yall! I’m Ahmed Hussein, the founder and designer of PropCraftingShop. My passion began roughly 7 years ago in a 3D printing office during take-your-child to work day and it became my education, hobby, and professional work path.
PropCraftingShop utilizes 3d printing and CAD modeling in 3 sectors: e-commerce, manufacturing, and prototype/product development.
My main mission is to make product and prototype development more accessible for creative individuals and organizations who have an idea but lack the machinery, time, or engineering expertise to develop their models.

You don’t need a finished design or engineering drawing, simply bring your idea and PropCraftingShop will design and manufacture the solution!

Engineering with Purpose

Alongside operating PropCraftingShop, I study mechanical and biomedical engineering, currently contributing to research focused on the blood-brain barrier.

One long-term goal is to develop a mobile prosthetics workshop that brings 3d printing equipment and supplies to produce prosthetics for communities with limited access to traditional prosthetic services.

Though ambitious, this reflects the purpose behind my work: improving accessibility in design, prototyping, and manufacturing where they are needed most.
